Static Mooring (Not in use)
We deliver a range of static mooring system for different applications. These mooring system can consist of multiple mooring winches or single mooring winch catering to multiple mooring lines. The mooring system can be designed to handle wire ropes, ultra high modulus fiber rope, chains or a combination of the above.
The mooring lines can either be handed by winch, traction winch or jacks. At the same time, we are able to deliver associated sheaves and chain-stoppers required.
As such we will be able to delivery systems for
1)Multiple mooring winch for barge, jackups
2)Winch or jack mounted on carousel for single point mooring
3)Winch or ack for permanent mooring on FPSO, Drilling platforms
Most of the system have traditionally been delivered with hydraulic drive system. For our system, we are also able to equip them with electrical drives. These can be a stand alone winch drive, a winch multi-drive system or it also form part of the multi-drive on board where it functions in tandems with trusters or pump drives. The option of electrical drives brings about lesser risk of hydraulic oil leakage to the environment and the benefit of less frequent and easier drive maintenance.
In addition to the normal pull in/pay out operation, the winches are equipped with high speed drag brake system, which are tailored to the unique operational needs, taking into account the assisting anchor-handler speed/capabilities and the water depth.
As an option, each winch is equipped with a synchronized, but independently driven spooling system. This allows any spooling adjustment to be made on the fly during operations to compensate for any spooling errors which may arise with wear of the ropes. The spooling device is also compatible for the high speed wire rope payout via drag brake.
The entire mooring system evolves around a central control system and HMI where the coordinated winch operation, wire spooling and drive system monitoring can be controlled from a centralized locality.
If required, the mooring system can be delivered with the necessary guide sheaves and fairleaders.
