Ocean Towing (Not in use)

Towing winch are designed mainly for long tow of vessels, barge across distance. In such operation, the rope is paid out and the cantilever effect of the rope weight, will act as a spring to absorb any tension spikes which may arise due to swells. As such, the winches are characterized by big drum capacity to store long wire ropes, with the brake capacity commensurate with the BP of the vessel.

The equipment can be driven by both hydraulic motors or electrical inverter duty motors subjected by vessel design. All of our options uses reputable branded motors, and drive components which are easily replaceable and stocked worldwide.

The winch can be designed with dual drive system, allowing continuous operation should there be any malfunction with one of the drive. At the same time, dual drive allows a double drum winch to undertake tandem towing operations. 

All winch are fitted with emergency release system.

A combination of the following features can be incorporated in accordance with operational needs.

1. Single or double drums
2. Adjustable brake actuation force, allowing torque setting to allow brake to slip in response to sudden load spike
3. Dynamic braking capable winch drive system to commensurate with operational needs
4. Synchronized independently driven spooling devices
5. Corrosion resistant brake drum lining
6. Winch monitoring system, complete with alarm for brake lining change, drive system error, load monitoring. System with cloud logging or data transfer to vessel system for full data logging.
