Deep water (Not in use)

Winch Duty Pull up from 200T to 600T

Anchor- handling winch is usually combined with Towing operation. These are designed for shallow deep water anchor-handling operations, and for towage of vessels barge across oceans. These winch are characterised by duty pull of at least 2 times of the vessel bollard pull, allowing the winch to have sufficient torque to handle the work wire and external load, when it is spooled up with wires.

The Deep water anchor-handling can consist of double, triple or even quadruple drums. This depends on the operational requirements. The work drum has the largest capacity and usually incorporates a 'jewellary compartment'. This allows lead wire, and associated socket connections to be stored within the compartment without affecting the main line to be spooled on the drum.

Each drums are also equipped with its own spooling device, and the spooling guides can be opened to allow wire sockets to pass through. They must also be manually adjustable to guide ropes, sockets and chains with the required unconventional spooling needs.

There will be dedicated drum for towing operation, the rope is paid out and the cantilever effect of the rope weight, will act as a spring to absorb any tension spikes which may arise due to swells. As such, the winches are characterise by big drum capacity to store long wire ropes. And with the brake capacity commensurating with the BP of the vessel.

Deep Water Anchor-Handling Towing Winch Design

The equipment can be driven both by hydraulic motors or electrical inverter duty motors depending on the vessel vessel design. System is fully designed for high speed dynamic braking. All options uses reputable branded motors, drive components which are easily replaceable and stocked world wide.

The winch are designed with dual or triple drive system, allowing continuous operation should there be any malfunction with one drive.

All winch are fitted with emergency release system.
