Winch Duty Pull up to 200T

Anchor-handling winch is usually combined with Towing operation. These are designed for shallow water anchor-handling operations, and for long towage  of vessels barge across oceans. These winch are characterised by duty pull of at least 2 times of the vessel bollard pull, allowing the winch to have sufficient torque to handle the work wire and external load, when it is spooled up with wires.

During towing operation, the rope is paid out and the cantilever effect of the rope weight, will act as a spring to absorb any tension spikes which may arise due to swells. As such, the winches are characterised by big drum capacity to store long wire ropes. And with the brake capacity commensuration with the BP of the vessel.

The equipment can be driven both by hydraulic motors or electrical inverter duty motors depending on the vessel design. All options uses reputable branded motors, drive components which are easily replaceable and stocked world wide.

The winch can be designed with dual drive system, allowing continuous operation should there be any malfunction with on drive. At the same time, dual drive allows a double drum winch to undertake tandem towing operations.

Winch control HMI includes wire rope tension, hoist and payout speed, operational status and spooling controls

A combination of the following features can be incorporated in accordance with operational needs.

1) Adjustable brake actuation force, allowing torque setting to allow brake to slip in response to sudden load spike for towing operations 
2) Dynamic braking capable winch drive system to commensurate with operational needs
3) Synchronized independently driven spooling devices
4) Corrosion resistant brake drum lining
5) Winch Monitoring system, complete with alarm for brake lining change, drive system error, load monitoring. System with cloud logging or data transfer to vessel system for full data logging.
